McLaren 570LT 2018 to score epic top-mounted exhaust tips

McLaren's newest supercar will be sporting a pair of epic top-exit exhaust tips, a new teaser image released ahead of the car's official unveiling has revealed.
The image shows little else, to be honest, but still; top-exit exhausts are cool, right?
It's the second teaser of the mystery McLaren, with an earlier image - this one showing a close-up of a carbonfibre diffuser that appeared to belong to a 570S (albeit sans exhaust pipe - that's one mystery solved at least), joined by a 16-second teaser clip entitled "The Edge is Calling" which revealed exactly nothing about the new car.
We do know that the newest McLaren - the fifth of 15 models or variants promised by 2022 - will be officially revealed online on June 28, before making its "dynamic debut" at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 12.
It is heavily - heavily - tipped to be a LT (or Longtail) version of the brand's 570S, but as yet we don't even have a name for the newest member of the supercar family. A McLaren LT is a lighter, slipperier and more track-focused version of the car on which it is based.
"It will benefit from increased power, minimised weight, optimised aerodynamics and enhanced driver engagement," McLaren says. "It will also deliver track-focused dynamics. And like the McLaren Senna, the most recent model revealed by the Woking-based company, it will be limited to the few."
