Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Carbonio Edition 2018 pricing and specs confirmed
Alfa Romeo has released a limited-edition Giulia sedan, dubbed Carbonio Edition, based on the Quadrifoglio performance flagship variant that costs an identical $143,900 (before on-road costs) as the donor car.
Limited to just 20 examples in Australia, the Carbonio Edition, according to Alfa Romeo, adds $8500 worth of value due to a range of bespoke cosmetic enhancements.
Distinguishing the Carbonio Edition is white tri-coat paint, special 19-inch alloy wheels and a leather and Alcantara steering wheel.
The vehicle also sports enhanced carbon-fibre detailing on the grille, wing mirrors, transmission shift cover and illuminated door sill covers.
Mechanically, the vehicle is unchanged, powered by a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 that delivers 375kW of power and 600Nm of torque channeled to the rear wheels via a ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic transmission.
Translated to the drag strip, the hi-po Giulia will sprint from 0-100km/h in 3.9 seconds and top out at 307km/h.
Standard Giulia Quadrifoglio equipment also carries over to the Carbonio Edition, which includes three-mode drive selector, six-piston front and four-piston rear brakes, 8.8-inch central information screen with sat-nav, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, 7.0-inch instrumentation display, and 14-speaker sound system.
