Skoda Kodiaq RS teased ahead of Paris unveiling
Skoda's go-fast Kodiaq RS has been officially teased ahead of its Paris Motor Show reveal.
We say "officially" because we've already seen a camouflaged car lapping the Nurburgring during its development phase, but these are new sneak-previews of the finished product.
The RS-stamped Kodiaq promises to be one hell of a family hauler, too.
Way back in 2016, at the regular Kodiaq's international launch, the car's program manager told CarsGuide that he thought the RS version deserved; "the bi-turbo diesel engine. We have for this platform a 2.0-litre TDI with 176kW."
And it seems he's gotten his wish, with Skoda today confirming the RS would be powered by "the most powerful production diesel engine in Skoda history." That means a 2.0-litre twin-turbocharged diesel good for 176kW and 500Nm, sending its power to all four wheels.
Other details remain thin on the ground, other than the fact that, with seven seats as standard, the Kodiaq RS will be every bit as practical as its less-powerful siblings.
The Kodiaq RS will be unveiled in full at the Paris Motor Show in October.
